BOUNTY BANANA

The Collective at Work

Bounty Banana joined Brut Works in June 2021. Part of what that relationship means in practice is this: when a director in the collective has a personal project, the studio commits resources to make it happen.Brut co-produced the film and took full ownership of all animated sequences, from design through execution. Each segment was assigned to a different creative voice: Novenero, Mostro, Marcela Bustamante, and Maxim de Gilder alongside the core team. The brief was not to decorate the film but to amplify its central idea. Every intervention had to carry its own identity while reading as part of a coherent whole.The result, in Bounty Banana's own words, was "visual WTF" around their on-screen presence. That is roughly what we were going for.inTENsity won a Grand Laus, the ADG FAD's highest award: one single prize awarded across all categories.

Ten years in, Bounty Banana decided to mark the anniversary not with a retrospective but with a film. inTENsity is a portrait of a decade: their creative life, the people around them, the Paris they work in. Not a highlights reel. An atmosphere.
The title comes from a scene in Lost in Translation where a commercial director keeps asking Bill Murray for more intensity. For Bounty Banana, that word captures something real about how they work and who they are. It also became the brief: a film that had to feel like them, at full charge.
The occasion was also the unveiling of a redesigned B/B logo. But a logo alone was not enough. It needed, as they put it, more inTENsity.

BELLYACHE

Bellyache is a music video directed by Steven Briand and Julien Jourdain de Muizon, featuring dancer Eva Studzinski. Live action shot against a deep red background, with hand-painted animation applied directly over the footage: brushstroke interventions, dashed lines, white eyes emerging from the silhouette.
The animation doesn't illustrate the performance. It inhabits it.

SPARK7 SNEAKER VIRAL

A campaign for Spark 7, an Austrian bank, produced by Kaiserschnitt Film. The brief was to make online banking feel relevant to a young audience. The approach: follow a sneakerhead through the moment a pair of limited drops, from the notification to the checkout.
The piece is built in 2D cel animation at a pace that doesn't slow down. The visual language shifts registers throughout: anime character drawing, video game UI and scoring screens, social media interfaces, all of it moving with the same frenetic rhythm. The sneaker as the object of obsession, the Spark 7 card as the tool that makes it happen.

VICELAND PARTY LEGENDS

Party Legends is a Viceland series where artists tell the story of their most legendary night. For the episode featuring Ninja from Die Antwoord, Bounty Banana created the animated sequences that bring the story to life alongside the live action interview.
The visual language is loose and expressive: flat colour, graphic outlines, a palette that feels like it belongs to the story being told rather than to a broadcast template.

ROAD TO VALHALA

Road to Valhalla is an animated piece built around a story Ninja tells about Kanye West and Drake. Bounty Banana animated the segment, finding a visual language that could hold the energy of the story without getting in its way.
The track is Defiant Order by Birdi Nam Nam.
